I specialize in working with expectant mothers, infants, and young children.  I think that the sun provides the most fantastic lighting option there is, but I also recognize that there are situations when artificial lighting is called for; so I am skilled in both natural light photography AND studio lighting.  All photography sessions take place in your home, on-location, or at my in-home-studio. Funky urban locations, lush green fields, and weathered rural buildings are also fun location choices–let’s talk about all your options!

Before Your Session

You and I will discuss your upcoming session so that I can get a feel for the mood that you would like your photos to convey.

What To Expect During Your Session

I will meet you at the chosen location and spend anywhere from 1-3 hours with you and your family capturing a variety of images. Feel free to bring extra clothing options to achieve different looks and moods for your portraits. I allow plenty of time for snacks, nursing breaks, diaper changes, etc. Your session will be relaxed, fun and full of laughs!

After Your Session

You will be contacted within 2 weeks with your personal password-protected online gallery and ordering information. Your gallery will remain “live” for one month. When ordering your prints you will have the choice of having your images shipped directly to you, or picking them up from me.

Your Investment

Standard Portrait Session: $150

This non-refundable creative fee includes:

• Approximately three hours of time photographing up to five members of the same family (Please add $25 for each additional person).
• Handcrafting of approximately 25 – 35 images in my digital darkroom .
• A private online gallery of these images for personal viewing and sharing with family and friends. Gallery will be available for one month. After one month there will be a $45 fee to repost the gallery.
• My personal consultation with a professional print-lab to achieve the highest quality images to present to you.

Mini-Session: $75

A mini-session includes approximately 30-60 minutes of time photographing 1-2 people. The number of poses is limited and the shortened time does not allow for any clothing changes.

Babysteps Package: $450

The Babysteps Package is meant to document baby’s first year. There is no limit to the number of people that you can include in these sessions (parents, siblings, grandparents, etc.). The package includes an 8×10 image from each session. These sessions typically last a little longer to make time for any necessary breaks such as a feeding, diaper change, outfit changes, etc. You may substitute a maternity session for one of the stages below (or add one to the package for $75). The photo sessions include the following 4 stages:

• newborn
• 4 months
• 8 months
• 1 year (with cake!)

• Customized Collections start at $300. Please ask for details.
• “Float Wraps,” Canvas “Gallery Wraps,” Leather Bound Albums, Collages, Custom Cards, and specialty sizes are also available. Please ask for details.

50% of the session fee is due at the time of booking, with the remainder due at the session.

Locations outside a 20 mile radius of Leesburg, VA may incur additional travel fees.
